Vital Safety Solution

The Vital Safety relay system is a revolutionary approach to machine safety circuits. Typical safety relay systems rely on monitoring a continuous electrical signal between each safety device point. Although technically safe, these system are prone to electrical shorts, which can fake the system into thinking that all the devices are working properly. The Vital system eliminates this problem emitting a pulse from the relay output. At each safety device, the signal is switched either from 0 to 1, or 1 to 0. The Vital relay not only keeps track of the number of time the signal switched, but also the state (0 or 1) that the signal returns as. This allows up to 30 safety devices to be connected to a single relay while still maintaining a safety category 4 according to EN 954-1.

PLUTO PLC

For safety systems where you need more programmability than just a simple safety relay circuit, you need a PLC. Unlike typical PLC systems however, the PLUTO utilizes dual microprocessors running in parallel with each over. Both processors continuously monitor and compare the integrity and state of the safety system, with each safety input connected to both processors. Basic PLC ladder logic is utilized as the main programming environment.

Safety Ball

The Jokab Safety Ball is an ergonomically designed two-hand enabling device. Each spherical ball contains to embedded pushbuttons, one on each side of the ball. All four push buttons must be enabled within 0.5 seconds in order for the system to which the Safety Balls are connected to enable. The ergonomic shape of the Safety Balls also assists in greatly reducing operator fatigue.
