2010 Training Schedule

Introduction to PMAC Workshop

This two-day course is designed to familiarize users with both the hardware and software associated with Delta Tau's Programmable Multi Axis Controller. Students will gain hands on experience using PMAC Executive programming environment, I, M, P & Q variable setup, servo tuning, motion programs, PLC programs and multi-tasking considerations.
Cost: $1050 / person

Advanced PMAC Workshop

This two day course is centered about the use and implementation of advanced PMAC functions.  This particular class is a custom developed session based on Advanced PMAC applications development. As a result, ample notice is necessary to assemble the proper materials.  Students should expect to spend 60% of their time programming & debugging the advanced functions for their specific application.  The introduction to PMAC workshop is a prerequisite.
Cost: $1250 / per person

6K Programmers Workshop

This workshop is based on Parker Compumotor’s 6K multi-axis controller capable of controlling both servo and step motor systems.  Through hands-on exercises, students will learn to work within the Motion Planner software environment, develop 6K code and apply hardware features.  The 6K4 and OEM drives will be used unless other arrangements are made. The class is focused on programming issues.  Both servo and stepper drives will be used.
Cost: $450 / person

Vision Application Workshop

This one day course is designed to teach users about machine vision.  Through hands-on exercises, students will learn the basics of camera setup, image acquisition, and image pre-processing.  Students will also learn how to utilize a variety of vision tools to solve different applications as well as receive training on program flow, and communication protocols.
Cost:  $450 / person

PLC Programming Workshop

This two-day course is designed to familiarize users with PLC ladder programming. Students will gain hands on experience with the creation of a simple PLC program, learn how to communicate with a PLC, and understand how to implement a variety of instructions to simplify PLC programs, and learn how to store data within the PLC.  Omron PLC workstations will be provided for use during the class. 
Cost: $750 / person for up to 4 people per company.  Half-price for each additional person.

IEC61131-3 Programming Workshop

This two-day course is an applications-oriented training to teach students about IEC61131-3 programming using real examples drawn from industry.  This course is approximately 50% lecture and 50% hands-on.  Students will learn the basics of the five IEC61131-3 programming languages and how to combine them to create easily maintained and reliable PLC and motion oriented tasks.
Cost: $850 / person

Safety Systems Workshop

This one-day course is designed to familiarize designers with safety related technology and the application of those technologies for machine designs.  Topics will include where to apply various technologies in a modern machine design, safety networks, and general guarding principles.  Each participant will design and specify a Jokab safety system as part of the session.
Cost: $350 / person
