Position: Application / Systems Engineer (Danvers, MA)

Background: Axis New England is a successful Automation Technology Center servicing the New England and Upstate New York markets. We have expertise providing robotic and motion control solutions. Our teams of automation engineers focus primarily on the semiconductor, electronic assembly, biomedical, fiber optic, and laser markets.

We are a small (<50 employees), growing company that is seeking capable engineers. Specific requirements within the department vary, although generically candidates must possess a BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Electro-mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Engineering support for new motion system application qualifications
  • Industrial and Collaborative Robot Programming
  • Industrial controls and HMI software development
  • Technical support for our Sales Engineering group
  • Design support for System level projects
  • Telephone and On-site customer support for newly installed components

Experience & Skills may include the following:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative resolving problems
  • Experience with robots, motors, actuators or servo systems
  • Knowledge of Ethercat , CAN, Modbus networking protocols
  • Experience with Delta Tau controls and/or C programming a plus
  • Basic understanding of Control loops, feedback and dynamic systems a plus
  • Candidates should possess strong technical and verbal / written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of 3D cad packages (Inventor, Solidworks)

Position: Senior Accountant

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BS/BA in accounting
  • At least three years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Microsoft Dynamics SL experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to plan and strategize for short and long term company goals
  • Excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills

Responsibilities would include:

  • Acquire a complete understanding of the company's accounting structure and operations
  • Cash and General Ledger Reconciliation
  • Bookkeeping – review of accounts, journal entries
  • Tax estimates
  • Month and year-end closing
  • Data Analysis/Spreadsheets
  • Issuing credits, reviewing invoices
  • Accounts Payable (entry of bills, check runs, statement review)
  • Problem analysis and resolution
  • Consignment Orders
  • Interfacing with various suppliers and service providers
  • Assists operations to achieve budget goals
  • Respond to inquiries regarding financial results and works on special projects as requested

Position: Production Technician

We are in search of self-motivated, experienced individuals with the following skills:

  • Crimping and soldering
  • Read and understand electrical/mechanical schematics
  • Understand measurements and tolerances
  • Understand basic wiring
  • Following procedures and instructions
  • Ability to multitask as priorities change
  • Attention to detail without compromising quality and speed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years related experience required
