A servo controller is a microchip board that controls the servo motor. Servo controllers have several channels and differing sizes of memory to store servo control code.
Servo control is a closed-loop control of a position and velocity. Servo loops output a torque command which gets delivered to the motor control. Servo loops take a position and/or velocity command and calculates the torque needed to satisfy the command, and the motor controller produces torque in response to the servo loop output.
Using servo controls improves transient response times and reduces steady state errors and also reduce the sensitivity to load parameters.
Axis New England offers a whole line of servo controllers and other motion control systems
for businesses based in Boston, Massachusetts area and surronding Northeast industries.
