Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) is an electronic device used for automation of industrial processes. PLC can be described as miniature industrial computers containing software and hardware that is used in performing control functions. There are two basic sections that make up a PLC: the central processing unit (CPU) and the input/output interface system. The CPU reads input data from connected field devices through the use of its input devices, and then performs the control program that has been stored in its memory system.
