Step Motors
A step motor has multiple toothed electromagnets arranged around a central metal gear. One magnet is powered causing the motor to turn due to the inner gears magnetic attraction. Each of the rotations is called a “step”. Because of this process, the motors can be turned at precise angles.
Axis New England offers a whole line of step motors and other motion control systems for businesses based in the Boston, Massachusetts area and surronding Northeast industries.
