Moxa Secure Remote Connect Image

Plant & Work Engineering Magazine reports that "60% to 70% of machine problems require a simple fix, such as software upgrade or minor parameter changes – which can be done remotely." As you can see, remote monitoring is an obvious advantage of smart manufacturing, especially when there are multiple production facilities to keep track of in real-time. As smart manufacturing deployments expand, the need for more remote connections will naturally increase as well.

The Moxa Remote Connect Suite was created with these priorities in mind:

  • End-to-end, fully-integrated security: The remote access connection is centrally monitored and managed over a secure private or public cloud.
  • Ease-of-use: MRC has plug-and-play setup, eliminating the need for technical configuration or setup of the VPN connection.
  • Cloud-based flexibility: Virtual IP addresses make multi-point remote access easy without the need for field IP reconfigurations.
  • Reliability in harsh factory conditions: The remote access gateways have an operating temperature of -40 to 75°C (167°F) to withstand extreme conditions.
