Last Thursday, as part of Massachusetts STEM Week, Axis New England hosted a group of 24 students from the Greater Lawrence Technical School. The students got an overview of automation and a tour of the Axis facility, which included a short demo on mobile robots. They were also taken step by step through the motor sizing process in an example using a battle bot. Lastly, a few students got to program pick and place movements with a Universal Robot. We were impressed with the knowledge of the students and we think they have bright futures ahead of them in STEM careers. We had a great time hosting the class and we are looking forward to participating in more STEM week events next year.
